This Green-tailed Trainbearer (wonderful name!) hummingbird painting was based on a taxidermied bird I saw at the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology.
It will be part of an exhibit at the Kent Museum (Calais, VT) this summer, along with other birds painting with gold leaf behind them.
